Affordable coworking space in Bangalore, with no hidden costs

Not the cheapest seat in the city, and why that is fine

Let us be straight about this. If your only goal is the lowest possible number, you can find cheaper desks in Bangalore, particularly in neighbourhoods further from the centre or in large, busy halls. We are not trying to beat every price in the city.

What we aim for is a price that stays the same from the first month to the last. Beyond Basics is a shared-desk workspace on the 3rd Floor of Prestige Eva Mall, Brigade Road, a short walk from MG Road. Within that central location, we keep costs down by skipping the things many people never use: meeting rooms, private cabins, lounges and events.

If you value a quiet, central desk and a bill you can predict, that trade is usually worth it. If you need a bargain at any cost, or a desk in another part of the city, we will happily tell you so when you call.

The full monthly cost, line by line

Here is everything that goes into your monthly bill for one seat. There is no second page.

So for most members, the total is ₹14,999 a month. The only thing that can add to it is parking, if you drive, and that is charged by Prestige Eva Mall, not by us. Our pricing page shows the same breakdown. If you are weighing a seat against leasing a whole office, try our coworking vs office cost calculator with your own quotes.

Where the extra costs usually hide

When you compare co working space prices in Bangalore, ask every space about these points before you sign. Many spaces charge some of them, and they can change your real monthly cost a lot.

• GST on top. Some quotes are before tax, so the bill comes in higher than the quoted figure. Ours is GST-inclusive.
• Security deposits. Many spaces ask for one or more months up front, which ties up cash you could use elsewhere. We ask for none.
• Lock-in periods. A lock-in means you keep paying even if your plans change. We have no lock-in; membership runs month to month.
• Add-ons. Printing credits, meeting-room hours, extra internet or beverage plans are sometimes billed separately. Ours are part of the one fee, and we simply do not have meeting rooms to bill for.

For reference, this is the comparison on our pricing page between Beyond Basics and a typical space in the CBD:

What the price buys, and what it does not

A low price only helps if the desk is usable every day. For ₹14,999 you get a shared desk on a deliberately silent floor, enterprise-grade Wi-Fi and fibre, full power backup, a printer and scanner, unlimited tea and coffee, indoor plants, natural light and access 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Desks are not assigned; they are filled first-come, first-served, and seats are kept few so the room never feels crowded.

Just as important is what the price leaves out. We do not offer:

• Day passes or hourly pricing (seats are monthly only)
• Meeting rooms, private cabins or lounges
• Virtual office services, a registered business or GST address, or mail handling
• Events or community programmes

If any of these are essential to you, a full-service space will suit you better, even at a higher price. If they are not, you are not paying for them here. The house rules explain how the quiet floor works, including no loud conversations or speakerphone calls.

Location adds value you do not pay extra for

Being central saves money in ways that do not show up on the invoice. Our address, 3rd Floor, Prestige Eva Mall, Brigade Road, Ashok Nagar, Bengaluru - 560025, is a short walk from MG Road metro station, Church Street and Residency Road. If you can take the metro, you avoid daily cab fares and parking. If you meet clients in the CBD, you are already nearby. Read more on our page about coworking near MG Road.

We have also written about how the space fits freelancers and startups watching their monthly costs, and the about page covers why we built it this way. You can also check what members say on Google, where we are rated 5.0 from 17 reviews.
