1. Who We Are

Beyond Basics runs a shared coworking workspace at 3rd Floor, Prestige Eva Mall, Brigade Road, Ashok Nagar, Bengaluru - 560025. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you enquire about a desk, become a Member, visit the workspace or use this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal data in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable law.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to run the workspace:

• When you enquire: your name, phone number, email address and anything you tell us when you call, email or message us on WhatsApp to ask about a desk or book a visit.
• When you become a Member: your name, contact details, the company you work for (if any), billing and payment details, and, where we ask for it for security, a government-issued identity proof.
• At the workspace: records of the access cards, keys or codes issued to you, details of any guests you bring, and CCTV footage recorded in common areas.
• On this website: if you accept analytics cookies, usage information such as pages viewed, device and browser type and approximate location. See section 4.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To answer your enquiry and arrange your visit.
• To set up and manage your membership, issue access credentials, and send invoices and payment reminders.
• To keep the workspace, Members and their belongings safe and secure, including through CCTV.
• To tell you about things that affect your membership, such as closures, maintenance or changes to our Terms or fees.
• To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
• To understand how our website is used so we can improve it (only with your consent).

We do not use your information for unrelated marketing, and we do not sell it.

4. Cookies, Analytics & Tracking

Cookies and similar technologies help us understand how visitors use our website so we can improve it. We use them in two ways:

• Essential: a small amount of local storage is used to remember your cookie preference so we don't ask you again on every visit.
• Analytics (Google Analytics 4): we use Google Analytics to measure page views, traffic sources and interactions such as clicks on our phone and email links. This helps us understand demand and improve our service. Google Analytics may set cookies and process limited data (for example a device identifier and approximate location derived from your IP address). Data is processed by Google in line with its Privacy Policy; IP addresses are handled in a shortened/anonymised form.

Your consent & control. Analytics cookies are switched off by default. On your first visit a banner lets you Accept or Decline — analytics only runs after you accept (we use Google Consent Mode). You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser (which resets the banner), or by blocking cookies in your browser settings. You can also install Google's Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Declining analytics does not affect your ability to use the website.

5. Who We Share It With

We share personal information only when needed, and only with:

• Service providers who help us operate, such as messaging (WhatsApp), email, payment and accounting providers, and Google Analytics. Each uses your data only to provide their service.
• Prestige Eva Mall management or building security, where required for access to the building or for safety.
• Government authorities, the police or courts, where we are required to by law or need to protect the safety of people or property.

6. How Long We Keep It

• Enquiry details are kept only for as long as needed to follow up on your enquiry.
• Membership and billing records are kept for the period of your membership and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting laws require.
• CCTV footage is kept for a limited period and then automatically overwritten, unless it is needed to investigate an incident.

7. How We Protect It

We use reasonable technical and physical safeguards to protect your information, including limited staff access, secured devices and accounts, and access-controlled premises. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will act promptly if a problem occurs.

8. Your Rights

Under applicable law, you can ask us to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you and how we use it.
• Correct or update information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
• Delete your information when it is no longer needed, unless we must keep it by law.
• Withdraw your consent, for example to analytics cookies, at any time.
• Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in case of death or incapacity.

To make a request or raise a concern, contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

9. Children

Our workspace and website are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
